The final show I saw last week was Sadó at the On|Off catwalk in the Royal Academy, but, sadly, it was a bit of a let-down.  There some pretty cool people in the audiece and everyone was well dressed, but the models weren't.  It's not that the clothes were bad - they were well-made and flattering.  But boring.  Practically everything was peachy coloured and plain, and there appeared to be only 3 types of shoe on offer.  I guess I shouldn't expect every show to ...

Eeeeeeeeeh I LOVE Basso&Brooke.  And not just because they rose to fame with prints of flying penises!  They are gifted at print design, make gorgeous clothes and really, are just totally cool.  Their show this season did not let me down!

The runway was super long.  The music was exciting.  The models were fierce.  The clothes were delicious.  The accessories were oversized.  Amazing.

Basso&Brooke took their inspiration fr...

On Wedneday I had the delight of attending the Armand Basi ONE show  - a show with a definite difference.  First off, the show was held in the Royal Horticultural Halls instead of the standard BFC tent, which gave them a lot more space to play with.  Secondly, the designer scrapped the traditional runway, and had the models walk around the perimeter of a square-shaped room, with the audience sitting on steps on a large which pyramid in the centre of the hall.  Third, the c...

We all know that the best bits of fashion week are the parties - the chances to network, get some free champagne and meet the celebs...  Well the Internation Party was definitely the highlight of my fashion week.  It is organised each year by the British Fashion Council and brings together international press, designers, photographers and celebs.  This year it was held in the May Fair hotel which was absolutely fabulous, and I am so lucky I managed to get my name on that guestl...

I was really looking forward to Afshin Feiz on Tuesday.  Some of the previous collections were gorgeous and I was expecting something great.  Even the description, that the collections was inspired by Zen and should make me think of the Buddha smiling, got me excited.  Sadly, I was let down.  The whole collection seemed very same-y and tired, and quite frankly, ugly.  The fabric was old fashioned, verging on floral bathroom material, the colours were very pale pastels...

So the second show I was invited to see on Tuesday was Eley Kishimoto, the man-woman pair of Wakako Kishimoto and Mark Eley famous for their hugely popular prints and for being new creative directors of Cacharel.  Their look is always is well thought out and very very pretty, if not necessarily particularly fashion-forward.

This seaon's show was entitled "Little Devils" and refereced children throughout, from the preppy school boy hats to the odd, creepy, and hone...

Loulou hearts Kaviar Gauche, yes he does.  And not just because they are German or because they let him see their show last Tuesday morning.  They produced a good range of different ...

So the subject of my first London Fashion Week special is On|Off, the series of shows running at the Royal Academy throughout LFW showing the best of new and foreign designers including Kaviar Gauche, Afshin Feiz, Osman Yousefzada, Sado, etc etc.  On|Off got the week started with a massive party at the academy, thought sadly this was not as well organised as the shows themselves.

The evening looked like it would be fabulous - performances from Patrick Wolf and Rhys Ifans...

Ahhhhhhhhhh so I'm at London Fashion Week and having an ammmaaaazzing time!!  Of course this means my posts are going to be a bit erratic BUT I should have lots to write about next week!  Also LFW obviously I HAVE to buy new outfits constantly, and today was no exception.  I got a fabulous shirt in Vivienne Westwood MAN - it's stripey and fitted and has a dark purple bib that buttons down the side.  I also bought a fabulous rubiks-cube inspired scarf at Jean Charles de Cas...

Brits are famous around the world for binge-drinking.  Not only do we go on holiday and get wasted, destroying beautiful Greek islands or rampaging around in Amsterdam, the Brits regularly get hammered in our towns and cities and generally embarrass themselves.  Now I've always thought of myself as being slightly different from these drunken people I see on dodgy TV shows on SKy1 or Channel 5 but yesterday I had a 'sobering' experience...

I was going clubbing with s...
